Essay: A Visit to zoo

  • Introduction
Last Sunday, our school organized a trip to the city zoo. All the students were very happy and excited. It was a bright sunny morning, and the weather was pleasant. We carried our lunch boxes, water bottles, and cameras. After a short bus ride, we reached the zoo gate. The entrance was big, and a signboard read “Welcome to the City Zoo
  • The First Impression
As soon as we entered, we saw beautiful gardens full of colorful flowers and tall green trees. There were many visitors — families with children, tourists, and school students. The atmosphere was full of joy and excitement. Birds were chirping, and we could hear the sounds of different animals from inside.
  • The Lion – King of the Jungle
Next, we went to the lion’s enclosure. The lion looked majestic with his golden mane and strong body. He was walking proudly inside his cage. When he roared, the sound echoed all around, and everyone got a little scared but also amazed. The cubs were playing nearby, looking cute and harmless. Truly, the lion deserves to be called the King of the Jungle.
  • The Elephant
After that, we saw the elephant. It was very big and friendly. It was eating sugarcane and bananas given by the zookeeper. The elephant was also sprinkling water with its trunk and seemed to enjoy it. Some children took photos with it. The elephant looked gentle and wise.
  • The Giraffe and the Zebra
In the next section, we saw giraffes. They were tall and graceful, eating leaves from the top of the trees. Their long necks and spotted bodies looked beautiful. Just beside them were zebras with black and white stripes. They looked like horses wearing special coats. They were running around playfully and seemed very happy.
  • The Birds’ Section
Our first stop was the bird area. We saw many kinds of birds — parrots, pigeons, sparrows, and peacocks. The parrots were green and bright, and they were talking and whistling. The peacocks were dancing and spreading their feathers beautifully. There were also flamingos standing gracefully on one leg and ducks swimming happily in a small pond.
  • The Fox and Other Wild Animals
Then we came across the fox, which looked clever and active. It was moving quickly inside the cage, watching everyone carefully. We also saw wolves, hyenas, and deer. The deer were very pretty and shy, while the monkeys nearby were the funniest — jumping, climbing, and making faces. Everyone laughed watching their tricks.
  • The Cow and Farm Animals.
Next, we reached the area where domestic or farm animals were kept. We saw cows, goats, sheep, and rabbits. The cows were calm, chewing grass peacefully. The goats and sheep were eating together, and the rabbits were soft, white, and very cute. There were also hens and ducks moving here and there.
  • The Reptile House
After that, we visited the reptile section. Inside glass boxes, we saw snakes, turtles, and lizards. Some snakes were long and scary, while the turtles looked slow and harmless. The zookeeper told us that snakes help control rats and insects. It was both interesting and a little frightening to see them so close.
  • The Aquarium
Then we went to see the aquarium. It was full of colorful fish swimming gracefully. Some were small and shiny, while others were big and looked strong. The blue water, lights, and movement of fish made it a very peaceful and beautiful sight.
  • Lunch and Fun Time
After seeing all the animals, we sat in the zoo garden to eat our lunch. We shared food, laughed, and took pictures. Some children played games while others rested under the trees. The cool breeze and sounds of nature made it a perfect picnic moment.
  • What I Learned
From this visit, I learned that animals are an important part of our world. Each one, whether big or small, has its own role in nature. We should never harm them or destroy their homes. Zoos help us understand animals better and teach us to care for them.
